Parfumeur | Karine Dubreuil-Sereni
103 Bloom Illusion by Bon Parfumeur is a niche floral, tropical and musky eau de parfum, unisex, created by perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. This perfume was previously called 103 Tiaré Flower - Jasmine - Hibiscus.
A house where the number indicates the olfactory family
Bon Parfumeur is a Parisian house founded in 2017 by Ludovic Bonneton, a passionate collector who became artistic director. The project was born from two things: his return from Colombia, where he lived surrounded by the scents of cocoa, coffee and tropical flowers, and his meeting with the great perfumer Raymond Chaillan, who showed him that perfume could be described through the five senses rather than through words. Its distinctive feature is its numbering system, which is far from arbitrary: the first digit indicates the olfactory family, while the next two indicate the perfume's position within that family. The creations are designed from the outset to be mixed and layered — the Mix & Match principle. Each fragrance is entrusted to a different perfumer and is born from a precise image brought to the studio by Bonneton. Everything is made in France.
An opening of hibiscus, bergamot and broom
Hibiscus opens with a floral, exotic and sun-drenched note, bergamot adds its sparkling Earl Grey character, and broom brings a honeyed sweetness reminiscent of hay. A tangy and fruity start, instantly sun-drenched.
A heart of tiaré flower, jasmine sambac and neroli
Tiaré flower is the heart of the fragrance — it is what gives monoi its scent. Jasmine sambac, greener and closer to orange blossom than classic jasmine, and neroli surround it with a radiant whiteness.
A base of white sand, vanilla and musk
The white sand note evokes the beach and driftwood, vanilla brings its addictive roundness and musk its cottony softness. The trail prolongs the tropical illusion.
The house's signature
A nature that does not exist. The perfumer summarizes the brief in one sentence: "Ludovic wanted a nature that does not exist, a dreamed nature, a fictional nature, one born from his imagination." The name follows directly — Bloom Illusion, the illusory bloom. And the formula takes the idea to its ultimate conclusion: it closes on a white sand note, that is to say, on a scent that cannot be extracted from nature. Sand has no fragrance — it must be invented. Creating a beach from scratch is exactly the subject of the perfume.
For whom, for what occasions?
Floral, tropical and musky, this eau de parfum is for those who want to take summer with them, whatever the season. It gives its best from spring to summer, during the day, and is equally suitable for women and men.
With 103 Bloom Illusion Bon Parfumeur, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni captures a beach that exists nowhere else in a bottle.
