Parfumeur | Karine Dubreuil-Sereni
202 Frutti Solari by Bon Parfumeur is a fruity, floral, fresh niche eau de parfum, unisex, created by perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni. This fragrance was previously called 202 Watermelon - Redcurrant - Jasmine.
A house where the number indicates the fragrance family
Bon Parfumeur is a Parisian house founded in 2017 by Ludovic Bonneton, a passionate collector who became artistic director. The project was born from two things: his return from Colombia, where he lived surrounded by the scents of cocoa, coffee, and tropical flowers, and his meeting with the great perfumer Raymond Chaillan, who showed him that perfume could be described through the five senses rather than through words. Its distinctive feature is its numbering system, which is far from arbitrary: the first digit indicates the fragrance family, while the following two indicate the fragrance's position within that family. The creations are designed from the outset to be mixed and layered — the Mix & Match principle. Each fragrance is entrusted to a different perfumer and is born from a precise image brought to the studio by Bonneton. Everything is made in France.
An opening of melon, grapefruit, and citron
Melon opens with an aqueous, sweet note, with its water-soaked flesh providing immediate refreshment. Grapefruit brings its sparkling bitterness, while citron adds its bold zest.
A heart of jasmine, cyclamen, redcurrant, and mango
Jasmine and lily of the valley open an airy white bouquet, while cyclamen adds its floral greenness, and redcurrant and mango maintain the fruitiness. This is the house's most generous heart: five ingredients.
A base of peach, caramel, and sandalwood
Velvety peach extends the fruitiness, caramel adds a subtle gourmand touch, and sandalwood provides a milky warmth that settles the fragrance on the skin.
The house's signature
A freshness that we know is fleeting, and it is embraced. The initial image is precise and pictorial: a heatwave by a David Hockney-style swimming pool, a sliced melon — we eat it, then dive in. Bonneton explains the intention: "Melon as a source of freshness when the sun burns. I wanted a fragrance with the same power." Melon is a rare ingredient in fine perfumery, often considered too simple — here it is placed at the opening and embraced as the main subject. The perfumer adds a detail that explains the freshness of the result: "Ludovic had just returned from vacation when we started developing this fragrance. The memory was as fresh in his mind as the scent he wanted."
For whom, and for what occasions?
Fruity, floral, and fresh, this eau de parfum is for those seeking a thirst-quenching fruitiness rather than a sweet one. It is at its best from spring to summer, during the day, and can be worn by both women and men.
With 202 Frutti Solari Bon Parfumeur, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni captures a dive in the middle of a heatwave in a bottle.
