Parfumeur | Sidonie Lancesseur
303 Marbre Rouge by Bon Parfumeur is a spicy, amber, and woody unisex niche perfume extract, created by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur. This fragrance was previously called 303 Piment - Baie Rose - Benjoin.
A house where the number indicates the olfactory family
Bon Parfumeur is a Parisian house founded in 2017 by Ludovic Bonneton, a passionate collector who became artistic director. The project was born from two things: his return from Colombia, where he lived surrounded by the scents of cocoa, coffee, and tropical flowers, and his meeting with the great perfumer Raymond Chaillan, who showed him that perfume could be described through the five senses rather than through words. Its distinctive feature is its numbering system, which is far from arbitrary: the first digit indicates the olfactory family, while the following two indicate the fragrance's position within that family. The creations are designed from the outset to be mixed and layered—the Mix & Match principle. Each fragrance is entrusted to a different perfumer and is born from a precise image brought to the studio by Bonneton. Everything is made in France. The extracts are distinguished by their gold cap.
An opening of pink pepper, cardamom, and chili
South American pink pepper and chili make the spices dance from the very first second, while Guatemalan cardamom warms the whole. A ballet of spices, says the house—lively and sparkling.
A heart of Tolu balsam, patchouli, and ylang-ylang
Tolu balsam absolute brings its sweet, vanilla-like resin, Indonesian patchouli its dark earth with chocolate nuances, and Comorian ylang-ylang unfolds the rich floral heart.
A base of benzoin, amber woods, vetiver, and musk
Benzoin and amber woods envelop the spices in a balsamic veil, while Javanese vetiver and musk anchor the trail. The sillage is dense and enveloping—the extract has a 79% concentration.
The house's signature
A fragrance built on a stone. The initial brief was neither a flower nor a memory, but a mineral material. The perfumer explains: "We wanted to build the fragrance around marble, and since it inspired a thousand and one things in us, Ludovic made the Taj Mahal our anchor point." And Bonneton clarifies the intention: "Wonder at the fusion of the cold marble of the Taj Mahal and its garden. In my fragrance, I bring the flowers into the walls of the palace." The entire fragrance is based on this temperature contrast: the mineral freshness of the spices at the opening, then the vegetal warmth of the garden penetrating the stone. Like the sand of 103 and the ivy of 104, marble is a material without an extractable scent: it is a constant of this house to start from an image to be recreated.
For whom, for what occasions?
Spicy, amber, and woody, this perfume extract is for those who love bold spices set against resins. It gives its best from autumn to winter, in the evening, and is equally suited for both women and men.
