A house born from a return from Colombia

Ludovic Bonneton founded Bon Parfumeur in 2017 upon returning from Colombia, where he lived surrounded by cocoa, coffee, and fragrant flowers. Determined to capture his emotions in a bottle using rare materials, he partnered with French perfumers rather than composing them himself. Each creation is built around a strong olfactory contrast, conceived as a fragment of life or a journey taken.

An opening of cardamom and guava

The top note combines cardamom and guava. Only two materials, and an immediate contrast: the green, camphoraceous cardamom cuts through the guava, whose scent evokes ripe fruit and a sulfurous note. A short and frank opening that establishes the fragrance's character in a few seconds.

A heart of rockrose and rosemary

The heart rests on rockrose and rosemary. Rockrose, a shrub of the Mediterranean region, smells of warm resin and leather. Rosemary gives it an aromatic freshness and recalls the garrigue from which it comes. The combination creates a dry and mineral heart, contrary to the usual floral hearts of the amber family.

A base of labdanum, oud, and patchouli

The base brings together labdanum, oud, and patchouli. Labdanum is the resin of the rockrose, harvested from its leaves: the material of the heart returns in the base, concentrated and amber. Oud adds its woody bitterness, patchouli its damp earth.

Making the entire fragrance last on a single plant. The rockrose of the heart and the labdanum of the base come from the same shrub, Cistus ladanifer: the leaf first, then its resin. Instead of stacking different materials at each stage, the formula allows the same one to mature, from resinous green to thick amber. Guava and oud serve only to frame this movement.
