A house born from a return from Colombia

Ludovic Bonneton founded Bon Parfumeur in 2017 upon returning from Colombia, where he lived surrounded by cocoa, coffee, and fragrant flowers. Determined to capture his emotions in bottles using rare ingredients, he chose to collaborate with French perfumers rather than compose the fragrances himself. Each creation is built around a strong olfactory contrast, and Noir Atlas is its most striking example.

An opening of black cherry and pink pepper

The top notes combine cherry, lychee, pink pepper, cardamom, cumin, cinnamon, and blackcurrant. Cherry and lychee provide a juicy, almost jammy opening, immediately peppered by pink pepper and cardamom. Cumin is added in small amounts to season the blend, preventing the opening from becoming overly sweet.

A heart of rose and davana

The heart rests on rose, orange blossom, and davana. Davana, an Indian herb distilled in southern India, brings a dried fruit and cooked wine aroma that extends the cherry. Rose adds body, while orange blossom lightens it.

A base of Atlas cedar and sandalwood

The base features cedar, papyrus, sandalwood, fig, patchouli, and vanilla. Cedar dominates, dry and pencil-like, supported by papyrus. Sandalwood and vanilla round out the blend, while fig leaves a green, milky trail.

The house's signature approach

Letting a top of red fruits descend onto bare cedar without using amber or musk to soften the transition. The connection is ensured by only two ingredients, davana and fig, both straddling the line between fruit and wood. A short and risky construction that gives Noir Atlas its dark signature.
