FUGAZZI is an Amsterdam-based Dutch house, founded in 2018 by Bram Niessink, whose imagination was sparked during a trip to Egypt with his grandfather. The name comes from fugazi, a 1970s Italian-American slang word meaning "fake", adopted by youth culture and movie mobsters: spelling it with a double Z makes a fake word that means fake. The house calls its approach "Storysmelling" — the perfume does not impose a narrative, it triggers the one of the wearer. Each formula also contains two odorless, patented plant ingredients, whose combination aims to reduce feelings of nervousness and tension.
