Jupilò is an Italian perfume house founded by Lorenzo Zaccheo — a lawyer, professional sommelier, and former boxer. His passion for perfume comes from his father, a lover of beauty and Paris, who returned from trips with suitcases full of perfume bottles: Annick Goutal, Diptyque, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Caron. "And every time, it was Christmas." The child became a collector, then a student of the art of perfumery, and finally creative director. The house describes itself as a cross between Rome and Paris: the dolce vita and bohemian circles on one side, French perfumers' laboratories on the other, with methods borrowed from oenology that his career as a sommelier explains. Four perfumers created the collection: Vanina Muracciole, Arturetto Landi, Christian Carbonnel, and Luca Maffei. First creation in 2023.

An opening of lemon, bergamot, and incense

Lemon and bergamot open with a crisp, cold citrus. Incense arrives immediately with them — resinous, peppery, slightly smoky — where you least expect it in a fresh fragrance.

A heart of lavender, geranium, and neroli

Lavender brings a camphorous aromatic quality, geranium its green and rosy facet, and neroli the clarity of orange blossom. The mountain notes give it the cold, mineral air that justifies the name.

A base of vetiver and sandalwood

Vetiver brings its dry, smoky earthiness, sandalwood its milky creaminess, and musk longevity on the skin. The base warms up a composition that had remained cold until then.

Incense in a fresh fragrance, right from the start. Incense is almost always treated as a base material, warm and solemn; here it arrives in the very first second, clinging to the citrus. This is what prevents the fragrance from being just another cologne: the resin gives weight to an opening that, without it, would evaporate in ten minutes.
