Bois Impérial Extrait by Essential Parfums is a niche woody, spicy, and floral perfume extract, unisex, created by Quentin Bisch. It is the nighttime interpretation of the house's most famous woody fragrance.

The perfumer takes center stage

Essential Parfums is a Parisian house founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, which overturns the usual logic: the perfumer's name is on the bottle, and the creation takes precedence over the packaging. Its philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "simplicity as the ultimate luxury". Each perfumer is given the same brief: to create a unisex fragrance around an inspiring natural raw material, with complete creative freedom. By limiting packaging and marketing expenses, the house reinvests in the ingredients: its formulas are vegan and contain up to 93% ingredients of natural origin. This extract is concentrated at 32%, which is double that of eau de parfum. 30 ml bottle.

The house's approach

This is NOT the same fragrance in a more concentrated form: the formula is different. No akigalawood, no vetiver, no ambroxan — the three pillars of the eau de parfum have disappeared from the fragrance pyramid. In their place, a rose alone in the heart and a base of balsam fir and rockrose create a resinous depth. Many houses are content to double the doses; this one has doubled the concentration AND rewritten the formula.
