A house born from poetry

Parfums Dusita is an award-winning independent Parisian haute parfumerie house, founded in 2016 by Pissara « Ploi » Umavijani, a self-taught perfumer born in Bangkok and arrived in Paris in 2011. Each perfume is an olfactory tribute to the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006), a renowned Thai poet. Dusita is the name of the celestial paradise spoken of in his verses, and whose quest runs through the entire collection. Pissara draws an illustration for each creation herself, which captures its spirit as much as that of the poem. The juices are composed near Grasse from largely natural materials, and are 100% vegan and not tested on animals. 50 ml bottle.

The house's signature

Lily of the valley cannot be extracted. This flower does not yield any essential oil: all lily of the valley in perfumery is a reconstruction. Here it is built behind a litsea cubeba, a very lemony Asian berry, and a tea rose — two bright materials that give it its bell-like freshness. And the ambrette seed in the base, the only plant-based musk in the palette, explains the unexpected longevity of such a light perfume — a coherent choice for an entirely vegan house.
