Parfumeur | Michał Gilbert Lach
Coffee White Flowers by Bohoboco is a gourmand, spicy, floral niche eau de parfum, unisex, created by Michał Gilbert Lach. The name tells the story: coffee versus white flowers.
A house that names its fragrances after their ingredients
Bohoboco is a Polish house based in Warsaw. It was born in 2009 as a fashion brand, founded by designers Michał Gilbert Lach and Kamil Owczarek. A first fragrance appeared in 2012, before the collection was launched in 2016 — a project in which Lach, having worked in hairdressing, then makeup, and later fashion design, says he found his true calling. The house's signature lies in its naming convention: each fragrance simply bears the name of two or three of its ingredients, without a story or character. Sea Salt Caramel, Vanilla Black Pepper, Wild Carrot Oud — and even provocative names like Magic Mushrooms or Polish Potatoes. The first compositions were created in Grasse, and the house has been awarded by the Fragrance Foundation UK, Vogue Beauty, and Elle Style. Everything is available as a 50 ml eau de parfum, unisex.
An opening of cinnamon, cloves, and chocolate
Cinnamon and cloves open warm and spicy, while chocolate arrives from the very first seconds — bitter, powdery, never sweet. An unusual start, already dense.
A heart of coffee, cocoa, and jasmine
Coffee settles in the center, roasted and bold, paired with cocoa. In contrast, jasmine opens up a floral whiteness that cuts through the bitterness. This is the heart of the matter and the fragrance's point of tension.
A base of golden rum, vanilla, and leather
Golden rum brings its alcoholic warmth, vanilla its roundness, and leather darkens the trail. The sillage is dense, tenacious, and distinctly adult.
The house's approach
Two worlds pressed against each other, and a name that says it plainly. Bohoboco does not tell a story: it places two ingredients side by side in the title and lets the contrast do the work. Here, coffee and white flowers — the bitter and the delicate, the black and the white. The composition further pushes the contrast: chocolate is placed at the top, whereas it is usually a base ingredient, and leather closes a gourmand fragrance, where one would expect sweetness.
For whom, and for what occasions?
Gourmand, spicy, and floral, this eau de parfum is for those seeking a coffee fragrance that is not breakfast in a bottle. It gives its best from autumn to winter, in the evening, and is worn without regard to gender.
