An imaginary heroine, a house founded by a female perfumer

Ella K was born in Paris in 2017. “Ella K” is an imaginary heroine, inspired by three explorers: Karen Blixen, Ella Maillart and Alexandra David-Néel. Each fragrance is the olfactory memory of a moment of travel — and it is not just an image: thanks to Givaudan's Scent Trek® technology, Sonia Constant captures the scents directly on site. A senior perfumer at Givaudan, she created Tom Ford Ombre Leather and Noir Extrême, Narciso Rodriguez Pur Musc and Mugler Angel Nova. Very few perfume houses are founded by a female perfumer.

What the set contains

Ten 2 ml bottles, or 20 ml of perfume: Poème de Sagano, Pluie sur Ha Long, Mémoire de Daisen In, Mélodie de l'Altaï, Lettre de Pushkar, Cri du Kalahari, Reflet sur l'Okavango, Harmattan, Ghibli and Khamsin.

The house's signature

The set contains a fragrance that the collection does not sell anywhere else with us: Khamsin. With Harmattan and Ghibli, it forms the THREE DESERT WINDS of the house — the harmattan that crosses the Sahara, the Libyan ghibli and the Egyptian khamsin. It is the only way to smell all three side by side, and to understand how the same idea — the hot wind on the skin — is translated into three different styles. The rest of the set covers the entire catalog: from the contemplative landscapes of Japan to the African expanses, via the Altai and India.
