Erawan by Dusita is a niche aromatic, gourmand, and woody eau de parfum, unisex, created by Pissara Umavijani. Erawan is the three-headed white elephant, an iconic figure in Thai iconography.

A house born from poetry

Parfums Dusita is an award-winning independent Parisian haute parfumerie house, founded in 2016 by Pissara “Ploi” Umavijani, a self-taught perfumer born in Bangkok who arrived in Paris in 2011. Each fragrance is an olfactory tribute to the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006), a renowned Thai poet. Dusita is the name of the celestial paradise spoken of in his verses, and its quest runs through the entire collection. Pissara draws an illustration for each creation herself, capturing its spirit as well as that of the poem. The juices are composed near Grasse from largely natural ingredients, and are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. 50 ml bottle.

An opening of petitgrain and clary sage

The petitgrain opens green and bitter — it is the leaf of the bitter orange, not its fruit. The clary sage brings its herbaceous and slightly musky facet. Only two ingredients.

A heart of hay, vetiver, and vanilla

The hay brings its dry and coumarin-like warmth, the vetiver its earthy root. And the vanilla slips in, something the structure did not call for.

A base of tonka bean, cedarwood, and oakmoss

The tonka bean extends the almond-like sweetness, the cedarwood brings its dryness and the oakmoss its forest dampness.

The house's signature

It is a fougère, rewritten. Petitgrain, clary sage, tonka bean, oakmoss: these are the four pillars of the fougère structure, invented at the end of the 19th^th century and becoming the foundation of masculine perfumery for a century. Dusita keeps its framework but slips hay and vanilla into the heart — the end is soft where the classic fougère remains dry. It is a reinterpretation, not a copy: a historic French genre, signed under the name of the three-headed white elephant of Thai mythology.
