Essential Parfums is a Paris-based house founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, which overturns the usual logic: the perfumer's name is on the bottle, and the creation takes precedence over the packaging. Its philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "simplicity as the ultimate luxury" — and it also applies to this skincare line, designed with the same understated packaging as the fragrances.

The ingredients

The soap captures the fragrance's signature: French lavender on application, followed by Laotian red ginger and Laotian beeswax, and finally the musk and Australian sandalwood that linger after rinsing. The beeswax is the standout ingredient here: honeyed and slightly animalic, it gives the musk its fleshiness — without it, it would just be another clean-smelling soap.
