Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums is a fruity, woody, and floral unisex niche eau de parfum, created by Nathalie Lorson.

The perfumer takes center stage

Essential Parfums is a Parisian house founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, which turns the usual logic on its head: the perfumer's name is on the bottle, and the creation takes precedence over the packaging. Its philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "simplicity as the ultimate luxury". The house gives every nose the same brief: create a unisex fragrance around an inspiring natural raw material, with complete creative freedom. Ten perfumers responded, including Calice Becker, Anne Flipo, Olivier Pescheux, Quentin Bisch, Fabrice Pellegrin, Sophie Labbé and Nathalie Lorson. By limiting packaging and marketing expenses, the house reinvests in the raw materials: its formulas contain between 86 and 93% ingredients of natural origin and are vegan. Refillable 100 ml bottle.

A base of Virginian cedar, sandalwood, and benzoin

Virginian cedar brings its dryness, sandalwood its creamy, milky quality, and benzoin a soft resin that warms the whole composition.

The house's signature touch

A black tea heart — hence the "infusion" in the title. It is not fig alone: it is an INFUSED fig. The tannic and dry Ceylon tea prevents the fruit from becoming milky and sweet like most figs on the market. It also brings that sensation of a cold drink that the benzoin in the base then warms up. Fig is indeed the inspiring raw material of the brief — tea is the way Nathalie Lorson chose to look at it.
