A father, suitcases full of bottles

Jupilò is a Roman house founded by Lorenzo Zaccheo — lawyer, professional sommelier, and former boxer. His passion for perfume comes from his father, a lover of beauty and Paris, who returned from trips with suitcases full of bottles: Annick Goutal, Diptyque, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Caron. "And every time, it was Christmas." The child became a collector, then a student of olfactory art, and then creative director. The house defines itself as a cross between Rome and Paris, with methods borrowed from oenology that his profession as a sommelier explains. Four perfumers sign the catalog: Vanina Muracciole, Arturetto Landi, Christian Carbonnel, and Luca Maffei.

Red wine opens the composition, tannic and jammy. Plum, blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry, and mango unfold the fruit, praline brings caramelized almond, saffron its leathery touch, and Tarocco orange — the Sicilian blood orange — the red citrus. Nine ingredients at once.
