Le Musset by Stéphanie de Bruijn is a fruity gourmand vanilla perfume extract, unisex, created by Stéphanie de Bruijn. It is the most concentrated version of a creation that also exists as an eau de parfum.

The perfumer's story

Stéphanie de Bruijn publishes a signed text with each of her creations, which she calls "The Story". For this extract: "I wanted to push Le Musset further, more intimate. In this extract, the candied fruits and raspberry are enveloped in vanilla, amber and sandalwood, for a denser and more tenacious signature."

An opening of peach, apple and spices

The opening combines two fleshy fruits — peach and apple — with a spicy accord. A round opening, immediately gourmand, but held by the spicy.

A heart of raspberry and candied fruits

The heart layers the tart raspberry with candied fruits. It is the passage that the perfumer herself designates as the subject of the extract: the fruit becomes syrup rather than juice.

A base of vanilla, amber and sandalwood

The base closes back on vanilla, amber and creamy sandalwood. In extract concentration, this trail becomes dense and lasts all day — it is exactly what the perfumer was looking for by pushing the formula.

The house's gesture

Stéphanie de Bruijn grew up in the Grasse region and studied biology before becoming an artisan perfumer. In 2001, she won the ISIPCA International Young Perfumer Competition. Her Parisian workshop, on rue de l'Université, is a boudoir-laboratory where she receives her clients one by one and also composes custom perfumes.
