A house that changes perfumers with each creation

Nysos is a Parisian house with an unusual compositional approach: it entrusts almost every creation to a different perfumer. Ten fragrances, eight noses — only Olivier Cresp and Benjamin Bélizon have each created two — and you will find signatures that you usually encounter at the great houses. Its eaux de parfum are presented in 80 ml, its extracts in 50 ml.

An opening of pink pepper, incense and bergamot

Three materials, and one of them is not in its usual place. The pink pepper stings, the bergamot brightens, but it is the incense that surprises: this dry and smoky resin is almost always placed at the base, never in the opening. The fragrance therefore announces its gravity from the very first second.

A heart of Turkish rose absolute, saffron and leather

This is the classic triad of Gulf fragrances, treated with named materials. The Turkish rose absolute — specified by its origin and method of extraction — brings its honeyed depth, saffron its metallic and leathery facet, leather its soft animality.

An oud fragrance usually starts with a citrus, which serves as a transition before the resin. Le Oud does otherwise and places incense right at the opening, alongside bergamot: the smoke is there even before the wood arrives, and extends the trajectory instead of preparing it. The other singularity is the place of the rose-saffron-leather triad, placed in the heart and not at the base as is customary in the Orient: this is what makes this oud readable from the first half hour. It is signed by Benjamin Bélizon, who also created Azur for the house.
