A house born from poetry

Parfums Dusita is an award-winning independent Parisian haute parfumerie house, founded in 2016 by Pissara « Ploi » Umavijani, a self-taught perfumer born in Bangkok who arrived in Paris in 2011. Each fragrance is an olfactory tribute to the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006), a renowned Thai poet who traveled extensively and wrote about his impressions of the places he visited. Dusita is the name of the celestial paradise spoken of in his verses. Pissara draws an illustration for each creation herself, capturing its spirit as well as that of the poem. The fragrances are composed near Grasse from largely natural ingredients, and are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. 50 ml bottle.

Mentha citrata — bergamot mint — opens fresh and lemony, white thyme brings its aromatic facet and honeysuckle a honeyed sweetness.

A heart of boronia, fig leaf and heliotrope

Boronia unfolds — fruity, hay-like and tea-like all at once. Fig leaf brings its milky green and heliotrope an almond-powdered softness.

A base of olibanum, oakwood and sandalwood

Olibanum brings its resinous smoke, oakwood its dryness and sandalwood its creaminess. The trail remains calm and composed.

Boronia is one of the rarest ingredients in the palette. This small Australian flower, with its fruity, hay-like and tea facets, is almost never found in perfumery — its extraction yield is tiny. Placing it in the heart, with a green and milky fig leaf, produces exactly what the title promises: something precious and calm, reflecting the golden pavilion of Kyoto. The subject also speaks to the spirit of the house: the perfumer's father traveled while writing, and this collection follows his journeys rather than just his origins.
