A house born from poetry

Parfums Dusita is an award-winning independent Parisian haute parfumerie house, founded in 2016 by Pissara “Ploi” Umavijani, a self-taught perfumer born in Bangkok who arrived in Paris in 2011. Each fragrance is an olfactory tribute to the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006), a renowned Thai poet. Dusita is the name of the celestial paradise spoken of in his verses, and its quest runs through the entire collection. Pissara draws an illustration for each creation herself, capturing its spirit as well as that of the poem. The juices are composed near Grasse from largely natural ingredients, and are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. 50 ml bottle.

An opening of bitter orange, neroli and mugwort

Bitter orange opens with a zesty and tart character, while neroli brings its green and honeyed clarity. Mugwort adds a herbal bitterness that sets the tone.

A heart of galbanum, ylang-ylang and leather

Galbanum — a sharp green resin — dominates, ylang-ylang brings a sun-drenched roundness, and a leather accord establishes a tanned edge.

A base of ambrette seed, oakmoss and patchouli

Ambrette seed — the only plant-based musk in perfumery — brings a skin effect, oakmoss its forest humidity, and patchouli its dark earth.

The house's signature

A self-taught Thai perfumer creates one of the most French chypres of the moment. Galbanum, oakmoss and leather: this is the architecture of the great chypres of the mid-20^th century, a structure that almost no one dares to write anymore since the restrictions on moss. No concessions to sweetness, from start to finish. The choice of ambrette seed for the musk is also no coincidence: it is the only musk of plant origin, consistent with an entirely vegan house. It took coming from Bangkok to revive a genre that French perfumery had abandoned.
