The Les Bains Guerbois discovery pack brings together twelve eau de parfums in 1.5 ml bottles.

A single address, one hundred and forty years of history

It all started at 7 rue du Bourg-l'Abbé, in Paris. In 1885, Auguste Guerbois and his son Albert opened the capital's most luxurious private bathhouse there — the sign at the entrance still announces swimming pool, Turkish and Russian baths, and sulphurous steam showers. Manet, Monet, Renoir, Zola and Proust could be seen there; the family also ran the Café Guerbois, immortalized by Manet. In 1978, the venue became Les Bains Douches, the Parisian equivalent of Studio 54. In 2015, Jean-Pierre Marois, the heir to the venue, transformed it into a five-star hotel, before resurrecting the perfume house in 2016.

What the set contains

The nine dated creations from the "A Date, A Story" collection — 1885, 1900, 1978, 1979, 1986, 1992, 2013, 2015 and 2018 — completed by three creations from the "Shapes & Materials" collection: Oud Laqué, Damier and Raku. Twelve 1.5 ml bottles, making a total of 18 ml of perfume.

The house's signature

Twelve perfumes, a single address. This is the only set in our selection where the creations are brought together not by a brand, but by a place. The first nine can be experienced in chronological order: the 1885 steam baths, Proust's 1900 afternoon snack, the 1978 night at Les Bains Douches, all the way to the 2015 ashes. The last three take a different approach: they explore the building itself — a lacquer, a tiled floor, a ceramic. The compositions are signed by master perfumers: Dorothée Piot, Michel Almairac, Bertrand Duchaufour, Dominique Ropion, Jérôme Épinette, Fanny Bal and Mathieu Nardin.
