The perfumer's story

Stéphanie de Bruijn publishes a signed text for each of her creations, which she calls "The Story". For Mecca Oud: "I wanted an explosion of noble and warm wood, unique on every skin. Raspberry and incense, then leather, oud and sandalwood: a glamorous, almost unforgettable creation."

An opening of raspberry and lychee

The opening consists of two fruits: tart raspberry and lychee, which is more floral and watery. Opening a woody fragrance of this intensity with two red fruits is a bold counter-intuitive choice.

A heart of incense, red fruits and rose

The heart places incense resin in the midst of red fruits and rose. It is the pivotal transition: the resin takes over from the fruit without making it disappear.

The house's approach

Stéphanie de Bruijn grew up in the Grasse region and studied biology before becoming an artisan perfumer. In 2001, she won the ISIPCA International Young Perfumer Competition. She works with French suppliers, mainly from the Grasse region, and composes her entire catalog alone.
