Mélodie de l'Amour by Dusita is a niche floral, fruity and woody perfume extract, unisex, created by Pissara Umavijani. It contains only eight ingredients.

A house born from poetry

Parfums Dusita is an award-winning independent Parisian haute parfumerie, founded in 2016 by Pissara « Ploi » Umavijani, a self-taught perfumer born in Bangkok who arrived in Paris in 2011. Each fragrance is an olfactory tribute to the poetry of her father, Montri Umavijani (1941-2006), a renowned Thai poet. Dusita is the name of the celestial paradise spoken of in his verses, and whose quest runs through the entire collection. Pissara draws an illustration for each creation herself, which captures its spirit as much as that of the poem. The juices are composed near Grasse from largely natural ingredients, and are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. 50 ml bottle.

An opening of peach and broom

The peach opens fleshy and velvety, the broom brings its yellow, honeyed and slightly hay-like flower. Only two ingredients, and the start is already radiant.

A heart of gardenia, tuberose and jasmine

The gardenia brings its milky quality, the tuberose its opulent flesh and the jasmine its heady side. Three white flowers, and none takes precedence.

A base of honey, cedarwood and sandalwood

The honey extends the floral richness, the cedarwood brings its dryness and the sandalwood its milky creaminess. In extract concentration, the trail is ample.

Eight ingredients, including three white flowers at the same level. Gardenia (milky), tuberose (fleshy, overpowering) and jasmine (heady) are three of the most difficult flowers to make coexist — each tends to overpower the others. Keeping them equal, in extract concentration, requires a balance that few compositions attempt. And the base contains only three ingredients: nothing to mask a lack of balance. The honey that brings them together is well chosen — it is the only ingredient round enough to be common to all three without betraying any of them.
