Néroli Botanica by Essential Parfums is a niche floral, spicy and woody eau de parfum, unisex, created by Anne Flipo.

The perfumer takes center stage

Essential Parfums is a Paris-based house founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, which turns the usual logic on its head: the perfumer's name is on the bottle, and the creation takes precedence over the packaging. Its philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "simplicity as the ultimate luxury". The house gives every nose the same brief: create a unisex fragrance around an inspiring natural raw material, with complete creative freedom. Ten perfumers have responded, including Calice Becker, Olivier Pescheux, Nathalie Lorson, Quentin Bisch, Sophie Labbé and Anne Flipo. By limiting packaging and marketing expenses, the house reinvests in the raw materials: its formulas contain between 86 and 93% ingredients of natural origin and are vegan. Refillable 100 ml bottle.

The turmeric leaf opens with an earthy and dusty note, while ginger brings its fresh spiciness. Pink pepper and black pepper complete a decidedly spicy opening.

A base of sandalwood, vetiver and benzoin

Sandalwood brings its milky creaminess, vetiver its earthy root, and benzoin a sweet resin that closes the composition.

The house's signature touch

TURMERIC LEAF at the top, and two peppers. It is a decidedly spicy start for an orange blossom — turmeric is earthy and dusty, the opposite of the expected solar note. This is precisely what makes this fragrance androgynous. And the heart doubles down on the inspiring raw material: orange blossom and neroli are the same flower — one solvent-extracted, honeyed and fleshy, the other distilled, green and fresh. Two scents from a single tree.
