A fake word that means fake

FUGAZZI is a Dutch house from Amsterdam, founded in 2018 by Bram Niessink, whose imagination was sparked during a trip to Egypt with his grandfather. The name comes from fugazi, a 1970s Italian-American slang word meaning "fake", adopted by youth culture and movie mobsters: writing it with a double Z makes it a fake word that means fake. The house calls its approach "Storysmelling". Each formula also contains two patented odorless plant ingredients, whose combination aims to reduce feelings of nervousness and tension. The Extrait line contains 30 to 50% fragrance oil, compared to 20% for eaux de parfum.

An orange opening

Orange opens the composition all by itself. No bergamot to brighten it, no spice to enhance it: the fruit arrives whole, juicy, and sweet, exactly as the title suggests.

A musk heart
