OJAR is an Omani house founded by Sheikha Hind Bahwan. The name comes from HOJARI, the world's most renowned quality of frankincense, harvested in the mountains of Dhofar. The founder summarizes her project in one sentence: "OJAR is a fusion of East and West — I have brought together the best expertise from each region." The catalog is organized into six collections by ingredient, three of which come from Oman — Dhofar incense, Jebel Akhdar rose, and Rustaq honey — complemented by sandalwood, musk, and oud. An opening of habanero, black pomegranate, and guava

Habanero opens the fragrance: it is one of the hottest peppers in the world, and here it brings a dry and fruity bite rather than a simple burn. Black pomegranate answers it with a red and tannic acidity, drier than an ordinary fruit, and guava with a tropical flesh, sweet and slightly green. Three ingredients, no citrus.

A heart of orange blossom, sandalwood, and luban

The heart suddenly shifts into the house's signature style.
