Love-O-Matic by ROOM 1015 is a musky, fruity, aldehydic eau de parfum, unisex, created by Jérôme Di Marino. A fragrance built on a scent that perfumery usually ignores: that of clean laundry.

A laundromat, a Tuesday at three o'clock

ROOM 1015 was founded in Paris in 2015 by Michael Partouche, known as "Dr. Mike": a doctor of pharmacy and rock guitarist, he left the pharmacy for perfume. The house takes its name from room 1015 of the Continental Hyatt House on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles — the hotel nicknamed the "Riot House". Love-O-Matic, released in 2025, is inspired by "the charged atmosphere of laundromats, where routine meets romance". Dr. Mike puts it bluntly: "Love-O-Matic is letting the encounter happen — not forcing it, simply staying open to love in all its forms. Even in a laundromat, on a Tuesday at three o'clock."

An opening of strawberry, lemon, and blackcurrant

The strawberry opens frankly sweet, pulpy, almost childlike. The lemon cuts it with a bright and acidic zest, the blackcurrant adds a darker green acidity. It's immediately pleasant, and that's exactly the intention.

A heart of aldehydes and candy accord

The aldehydes change everything: they bring that soapy, slightly waxy and slightly metallic sensation of cleanliness, which we associate with laundry coming out of the machine. The candy accord comes on top, sweet and pink, a childhood memory. Two registers that are never associated and which, together, give something strangely familiar.

A base of musk, ambrette, and cedar

The musk forms the soft and cottony bed of the composition. The ambrette, a seed with a musky and slightly powdery scent, naturally extends its effect. The cedar adds a woody dryness that prevents the whole thing from becoming soft. The perfume approaches the skin and settles there for the day.

The house's touch

"The 'clean' accord was designed to elevate the smell of cleanliness into something premium and refined, by centering it on musks," explains Jérôme Di Marino. This is the key to the formula: cleanliness is not a top effect that evaporates here, but a base material. The heart aldehydes only announce what the base musks will hold for hours.
