La Ruche, Nectar Olfactif's eau de parfum collection

Nectar Olfactif is a French house founded by David Perrin, passionate about niche fragrances and travel. The entire brand is inspired by the world of bees foraging on flowers, plants, and fruit trees. After its six perfume extracts, the house launched La Ruche, an eau de parfum collection of three creations: Safran Doré, Café Gourmand, and Musc Sensuel, each entrusted to a different perfumer.

An opening of Greek saffron and nutmeg

The opening brings together a Greek saffron essential oil, a nutmeg essential oil, and a rum extract. The spice arrives immediately, warm and slightly leathery, rounded by the amber note of rum.

A heart of soursop and black pepper

The heart combines a soursop, a tropical fruit with creamy and tart flesh, a Madagascar black pepper essential oil, and a clove. The fruit softens the spice without extinguishing it.

A base of patchouli, vetiver, and sugar

The base brings together a patchouli fraction, an Haitian vetiver essential oil, and a sugar. Two woody and earthy materials, and a sweet touch that recalls the honey from the starting point.

The fragrance comes from a discovery that the house tells precisely: a saffron-infused honey, tasted at Natur'Abelha, with a sunny and slightly fruity sweetness. Safran Doré takes up the idea: a saffron softened by sugar and soursop, rather than the dark and leathery saffron of oriental fragrances. Several materials are named by their origin: Greek saffron, Madagascar black pepper, Haitian vetiver.
