A perfumer from art history

Francesca Bianchi is a self-taught Italian perfumer. Graduated in art history in Florence, she worked in art book publishing before founding her house in Amsterdam in 2016, after reading a book on natural perfumery. She composes each formula by hand in her laboratory — a process that can take from six months to four years, sometimes longer — before entrusting its production to a small Italian artisanal company. The house operates without investors or a marketing plan. Her perfumes are nicknamed “Liquid Emotions”, and her motto is three words: “Everything is personal.”

An opening of bergamot and pink pepper

Bergamot opens clearly, without heaviness, and pink pepper answers it with a rosy and sparkling touch. Two materials, and nothing else: the opening is immediately clear.

A heart of tropical fruits, lavender and geranium

Tropical fruits bring flesh and sweetness, immediately countered by lavender, camphorous and dry, and geranium, rosy and slightly metallic. Two aromatics at the heart of a fruity accord: this is where the balance of the perfume is played out.
