The Musc by Essential Parfums is a niche musk, floral and woody eau de parfum, unisex, created by Calice Becker. It contains only five ingredients.

The perfumer takes center stage

Essential Parfums is a Paris-based house founded in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault, which turns conventional logic on its head: the perfumer's name is on the bottle, and the creation takes precedence over the packaging. Its philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: "simplicity as the ultimate luxury". The house gives every nose the same brief: create a unisex fragrance around an inspiring natural raw material, with complete creative freedom. Ten perfumers have responded, including Anne Flipo, Olivier Pescheux, Nathalie Lorson, Quentin Bisch, Fabrice Pellegrin and Calice Becker. By limiting packaging and marketing expenses, the house reinvests in the raw materials: its formulas contain between 86 and 93% ingredients of natural origin and are vegan. Refillable 100 ml bottle.

The house's signature touch

BEESWAX at the heart. It is a rare ingredient, honeyed and slightly animalic, which gives the musk its body — without it, the composition would be just another clean musk. It comes from Laos, like the red ginger next to it: two ingredients from the same origin. Only five ingredients, and a rare choice for a musk: intimacy rather than display.
