Parfumeur | Jérôme di Marino
Estrella de la Mañana by Une Nuit Nomade is a unisex ambery, vanilla, woody extrait de parfum, composed by Jérôme di Marino, a perfumer at Takasago. The house locates it in Veracruz, on the mountainous eastern coast of Mexico — the region of origin of vanilla.
A Parisian house that composes destinations
Une Nuit Nomade was founded by Philippe Solas and Alexandra Cubizolles and is headquartered at 91 boulevard Saint-Germain, in Paris. Each perfume bears the name of a real place, and the house entrusts each destination to a nose chosen for it.
An opening of marigold and carrot
The opening combines a marigold — this Mexican marigold with a green and bitter almond scent, rare in perfumery —, a carrot seed and a bergamot. An unexpected vegetal start for a vanilla.
A heart of vanilla and birch
The heart layers a vanilla, a rose and a smoky birch. The house summarizes the image like this: a black vanilla pod, its heart split and consumed in the hearth of a fireplace.
A base of cacao and benzoin
The base brings together a cacao, benzoin tears and a rockrose. The sillage becomes dark, resinous and powdery, between the wood smoke and the bitter cacao.
The house's approach
Une Nuit Nomade offers each perfume in several sizes — 2, 5, 25, 50 and 100 ml —, which is rare in niche perfumery: you can enter the collection through the travel vial rather than the large bottle.
For whom, for what occasions?
Estrella de la Mañana is for those who love smoky vanillas rather than sweet ones. A unisex extrait for autumn, winter and evenings.
