Parfumeur | Véronique Stambouli
Vanille Réglisse by UNIKA is a spicy gourmand vanilla eau de parfum, unisex, composed by Véronique Stambouli. The house states it plainly: it is inspired by a licorice crème brûlée.
A perfumer who is also the founder
Véronique Stambouli was trained at the ISIPCA before settling in Grasse, working with master perfumers. After composing for clients from around the world, she created UNIKA to compose freely: the nose and the founder are the same person here. She willingly draws from the kitchen.
A zesty and candied opening
The opening combines a mandarin, a bergamot and candied fruits. An appetizing start that already announces the dessert, without weighing it down.
A heart of licorice and saffron
The heart is the subject: an anise licorice, both sweet and slightly bitter, a saffron with leathery facets and a patchouli of undergrowth. It is this trio, and the house claims it, that makes the perfume recognizable.
A base of vanilla and benzoin
The base brings together a vanilla with woody facets, leathery notes and a balm benzoin. The accord is warm and refined; the sillage is one of the most noticeable of the house.
The house's gesture
UNIKA defines itself as an ode to understated elegance: few materials, but carefully chosen. The perfumes are created and made in France, in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, at the gates of Grasse. Each reference exists in 30 and 100 ml.
For whom, for what occasions?
Vanille Réglisse is for those who love gourmands that do not turn into sugar. A unisex eau de parfum for autumn, winter and evenings — and one of the easiest to gift.
