Voyage by Oman Luxury is a spicy woody amber eau de parfum, unisex, created by Muatasim Al Hinai. It is the only fragrance from the house that one of its founders created alone.

An Omani house that calls upon master perfumers

Oman Luxury is an independent house founded in 2012 by Muatasim, Muadh and Ahmed, then relaunched in October 2020 with a new identity. Its approach is twofold: draw from Omani heritage — the incense route, spices, agarwood — and entrust the formulas to leading French perfumers, among whom Dominique Ropion, Marie Salamagne, Pierre Negrin, Maurice Roucel or Emilie Coppermann. One of the three founders, Muatasim Al Hinai, composes two of the fragrances in the collection himself. The bottles incorporate motifs from Omani architecture and textiles.

An opening of bergamot, pink pepper and ginger

Bergamot provides its green freshness and slight bitterness, pink pepper a sparkling and resinous fruitiness, ginger its spicy bite and a touch of lemon. Three vibrant ingredients: this is the lightest opening of a fragrance that will end up dense.

A heart of rose, geranium and floral notes

Rose holds center stage, geranium brings its green and rosy facet, slightly metallic, and an accord of floral notes expands the bouquet. The heart remains brief and serves mainly as a bridge between the opening spice and the final resin.

A base of patchouli, labdanum and ambergris

Patchouli grounds the fragrance, labdanum its balsamic and slightly leathery resin, incense its dry and peppery gum. Ambergris brings its mineral and salty note, musk the skin effect. Five ingredients that establish the Omani register after an almost European entry.

A house that calls upon Ropion, Roucel or Negrin also has one of its founders on the credits. Muatasim Al Hinai co-signs Khanjar with Philippe Paparella-Paris; here, he composes alone. The formula reflects this: instead of the house's usual accumulation, it consists of eleven ingredients, with a clear progression from fresh to resinous. The house links the fragrance to the golden age of Omani maritime trade, when merchant fleets carried their cargo to pharaonic Egypt, the Sumerians, the Roman Empire or the kingdom of Saba — which the base tells through each ingredient.
