White Pearl by The House of Oud is a marine floral amber eau de parfum, unisex, concentrated at 30% and composed by Cristian Calabrò. The house says it is inspired by Akoya pearls and the class in Salty Iridescent.

Royal Stones, the stone collection

White Pearl belongs to Royal Stones, the series that The House of Oud dedicates to precious stones and presents as inspired by the British royal family — alongside Pure Diamond, Emerald Green, Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue. The house was founded in 2016 by Andrea Casotti, a nuclear engineer from the Politecnico di Milano, and Mohammed Abu Nashi, an oud producer from Jakarta.

An opening of ylang-ylang and cardamom

The opening combines a creamy ylang-ylang, a pink pepper and a green cardamom. A warm and sunny opening, without the slightest citrus.

A heart of rose and iris

The heart layers a full rose, a powdery iris and a tonka bean. It is this passage that gives the perfume its mother-of-pearl texture.

A marine and ambergris base

The base holds on only two materials: marine notes and an ambergris. This marine concretion, one of the rarest materials in perfumery, is the pearl announced by the title — and what distinguishes this reference from the rest of the house.

The house's gesture

The house's oval bottles are marbled by hand by an artisan from Varese, according to a technique that Andrea Casotti calls Life is Color. The process is never reproduced twice: no bottle is identical to another.
