Kajal Perfumes Paris was founded in 2012 by Moe Khalaf and Ibrahim Faris, and its first fragrance was released in 2014. Both come from the world of luxury: Ibrahim Faris started at nineteen in Jordan before becoming brand manager of the Al Tayer group in Dubai; Moe Khalaf spent ten years at YSL Beauté, eventually leading the Saudi market, and then served as regional director for the Middle East at Estée Lauder. The name says it all: kajal refers to kohl in Indian culture and comes from the Arabic word khajal, meaning modesty. The house is based in Dubai, but its fragrances are primarily composed in France. Yasmina belongs to the WARDÈ collection, the rose in Arabic.
