Maison Berliner, the perfume house born from a restored sense of smell

Maison Berliner has a story in which losing the sense of smell paradoxically led to making perfume a calling. A passionate fragrance collector, its founder decided in 2020 to devote himself to niche perfumery. It was during a stay on the French Riviera, marked by a visit to Grasse, that his sense of smell began to return — an experience that would give the project a deeply personal dimension.

To transform this passion into creations, the house surrounded itself with Jean-Michel Duriez, a renowned French perfumer. Together, they developed a collection based on duos of ingredients: taking an immediately recognizable ingredient and giving it an unexpected environment. Apple becomes ambered, blackberry meets iris, pineapple is covered in resins and incense.
