Eclipse Noire by Bhype Paris is a niche, unisex, leathery, amber, and fruity eau de parfum, created by Jérôme Devisme. It is the E of the collection, the one that closes it.

A collection whose five names form a word

Bhype Paris designed its collection as an acrostic: it features five fragrances, and the initial of each spells out the name of the house — Beats of Arabia, Habibi Lemon, Yacht to Riviera, Paris Chérie, Eclipse Noire. The collection was created in Grasse, the world capital of perfume, where the most prestigious French and Italian houses produce: the brand claims to have rejected the dominant trend of manufacturing in Dubai in favor of French haute parfumerie. It is signed by Jérôme Devisme, former artistic director of LVMH, where he worked for Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy. Everything comes in a 50 ml eau de parfum.

An opening of strawberry, exotic fruits, and tutti frutti

The strawberry opens boldly and sweetly, surrounded by exotic fruits and a pronounced tutti frutti accord, almost like confectionery. A joyful and radiant start — that gives no hint of what is to come.

A heart of raspberry, vanilla, and caramel

The raspberry takes over, more tart, while the vanilla and caramel establish the gourmand character. The fragrance thickens and becomes creamy.

A base of leather, musk, and coconut

The leather arrives and shifts the entire fragrance: smoky, dark, mature. The musk softens it, and the coconut gives it an unexpected milky texture. The sillage is velvety and lasts a long time.

The house's signature

A candy that ends in leather. Eclipse Noire is built on a complete reversal: it opens on the most childlike side of perfumery — strawberry, tutti frutti, caramel — and closes on its most mature side, a leather accord. Between the two, the coconut serves as a hinge, providing the richness that allows the fruit to glide toward the tanned skin without a break. It is the only fragrance in the collection classified as amber-leathery by the house, and its name announces it: an eclipse, the moment when light turns to shadow. It is made, says the brand, “for those who embrace their share of shadow as much as their light.”
