A Doha house that entrusted its juices to French perfumery

Founded in 1998, Al Jazeera Perfumes has called upon French perfumers since its inception and works with the greatest French manufacturers of perfume raw materials — hence the mention of "Paris" on every bottle. Michel Almairac, one of the great names of his generation, brings here a very recognizable expertise: that of the modern chypre, where moss and patchouli replace the bitterness of yesteryear with a velvety depth.

An opening of apple and jasmine

The apple opens crisp, green and tart, immediately softened by the jasmine. This fruity-floral start is frank, almost sunny, and gives the perfume its name: Capri, the island in the Gulf of Naples.

A heart of patchouli and cedar

The patchouli arrives quickly and takes over: earthy, slightly camphorous, it establishes the chypre structure. The cedar gives it a dry and woody verticality that balances the sweetness of the opening.
