Parfumeur | Margaux Le Paih Guérin
Dinajpur by Coelia Paris is a spicy, gourmand, amber niche perfume extract, unisex, created by Margaux Le Paih Guérin. It is the house's first creation.
A house born from two shores
Coelia Paris writes its perfumes from places actually lived. Its founder, Billel Fathallah, was born in Paris to a Tunisian father and a Moroccan mother — two shores that run through the entire collection. As a child, he spent his weekends at his grandparents' home in the Opéra district, strolling through Galeries Lafayette and Printemps in search of olfactory discoveries. Becoming a perfume content creator under the name Voyageur Olfactif, he founded his own house. Dinajpur was born from a precise memory: a trip to Bangladesh, to the city that gives the perfume its name. The house names the origin of its ingredients with a precision that few brands publish. 100 ml bottle.
An opening of ginger, cardamom, and chai accord
Ginger essence opens spicy and fresh, cardamom essence brings its camphor spice, and the chai accord brings them together in a spicy infusion. No citrus top note: we go straight into the cup.
A heart of puffed rice, orange blossom, and milky accord
The puffed rice accord establishes a cereal and slightly toasted texture, the milky accord makes it creamy, and the orange blossom slips in a honeyed clarity.
A base of rum, vanilla, benzoin, and sandalwood
Rum extract brings its alcoholic warmth, vanilla absolute and caramel the gourmandry, benzoin absolute its balsamic resin. Sandalwood, musk, and ambroxan establish a very long trail.
The house's signature
A puffed rice accord at heart. It is the ingredient that makes this perfume instantly recognizable: it recreates the texture of hot cereal milk rather than its smell, something neither vanilla nor caramel can do. A second bold choice, just as rare: no citrus top note. The perfume enters directly through ginger and cardamom, like the first sip of a hot chai — where perfumery almost always places a citrus to soften the opening.
For whom, for what occasions?
Spicy, gourmand, and amber, this extract is for those who love enveloping and bold perfumes. It gives its best from autumn to winter, in the evening, worn equally well by women as by men. Its projection is considerable: set aside if you prefer discretion.
With Dinajpur Coelia Paris, Margaux Le Paih Guérin bottles the texture of a drink rather than its taste.
