A career told in four dates

Rosendo Mateu entered the perfume industry in 1968 and spent forty years at the Spanish group Puig, composing for Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne and Carolina Herrera. In 2010, after forty-five years dedicated to perfume, Puig awarded him the title of Master Perfumer. In 2015, he founded the house that bears his name in Barcelona with his son Joan; he passed away on May 12, 2022, and Joan Mateu now runs the house. The Olfactory Journeys traces his career in four dates — 1968, 1970, 1988 and 2010. “In the late 1980s, New York had become the epicenter of innovative perfumery,” writes the house: “a place where Rosendo discovered the modernity that inspired his sense of individual power and freedom.”

An opening of citrus, fresh notes and clean notes
