Van Exstasyx by Lorenzo Pazzaglia is a gourmand amber vanilla perfume extract, unisex, created by Lorenzo Pazzaglia. Seven varieties of vanilla across eleven ingredients.

A chef turned perfumer

Lorenzo Pazzaglia is an Italian house born in Cagli, a village in the heart of the Marches. This is where its founder grew up, surrounded by the aromas of his father's restaurant — "I grew up surrounded by the smells of my father's kitchen," he says — before working there himself as a chef. He remained one: in the kitchen by day, in the laboratory by night. Self-taught, he composes the entire collection himself, 100% perfume extract, with a very high concentration of oils.

An opening of four vanillas

Bourbon vanilla, Madagascar vanilla, Tahitian vanilla, and black vanilla open together. Each has its own character: Bourbon is rounded and milky, Madagascar is woody, Tahitian is floral and anise-like. Four origins of a single ingredient, from the very first second.

A heart of Island vanilla, white flowers, and caramel

Island vanilla takes over, surrounded by white flowers and caramel. The heart finally gives the listener something else to hear besides the main ingredient.

A base of agarwood and pure vanilla bean

Agarwood brings the dark resin, while pure vanilla bean, black vanilla, and tonka bean close the loop. The wood prevents the sweetness from settling on its own.

The house's signature

The house claims "no fewer than seven varieties of vanilla" in a formula that contains only eleven ingredients in total. Four in the opening, one in the heart, two in the base: the perfume is almost entirely built around a single ingredient, explored through its origins and forms. A chef will recognize the principle — it is a unique product worked in all its states. The agarwood in the base is the only counterweight.
