Odorare Circle Charter
Version 1 — September 11, 2026
The Circle is the conversation space of odorare.fr: under each blog post, members like, comment, reply to each other, and mention one another. This charter sets the rules of the game. It is short, because the essentials can be summed up in one sentence: we talk about perfume, among enthusiasts, with respect.
1. Who can participate
Participation is reserved for individuals with an Odorare customer account. Upon their first participation, each member chooses a unique username (3 to 24 characters) and accepts this charter. One account corresponds to one person: multiple accounts, identity theft, and usernames incorporating the name of a perfume brand or house are not permitted. The Circle is intended for an adult audience; minors aged at least 15 can participate with their parents' consent.
2. The five rules
- We talk about perfume, with respect. Disagreements are welcome; personal attacks, insults, vulgar, discriminatory, or hateful remarks are not.
- No advertising, no selling. The Circle is neither a showcase nor a marketplace: no promotion of another store or website, no commercial links, no announcements of sales or bottle exchanges, and no sharing of contact details for this purpose.
- One username, one account, one person. You write in your own name, under your own username, and by yourself.
- Your reviews are your own. No fake reviews, no text copied from another website, and no content written on behalf of a third party.
- Monitoring is automatic. Each comment is analyzed before publication, and then at regular intervals. Content that violates the charter will be removed without notice; in the event of a repeat offense, access to the Circle may be suspended.
3. What is removed
The following are automatically removed without the need for a report: vulgar or insulting language; advertising, links to other stores, and offers to sell or exchange; content that is clearly off-topic or repetitive; fake reviews and copied content; third-party personal data. Monitoring is carried out by a program that may make mistakes. If you believe that one of your comments has been removed in error, write to us from the contact page and indicate the article concerned: a member of the team will review it and restore it if the charter has been respected.
4. Responses from the Odorare team
Comments signed "Odorare Team" are published on behalf of the house. Some of them, marked with the label Automated response, are written by a program based on the content of the article: they provide additional information and do not bind Odorare to prices, availability, deadlines, or orders. For any questions of this nature, the contact page remains the appropriate channel.
5. Your data
When you participate in the Circle, Odorare records the following information associated with your customer account: your username, the date and version of the charter you accepted, your comments and replies, the likes you give, and the mentions you make of other members. This data is hosted by Shopify along with the rest of your account. For automatic monitoring and automated responses, the text of your comments is transmitted to a third-party artificial intelligence service (Anthropic) solely for the duration of the analysis and without being used for training purposes, in accordance with its commercial terms. You receive an email when a member replies to you or mentions you. You can delete each of your comments yourself; closing your account results in the deletion of all your contributions. You have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data, which can be exercised from the contact page. The rest is described in our privacy policy.
6. Reporting content
Does a comment seem to violate the charter? Write to us from the contact page and indicate the article and username concerned. We process each report as quickly as possible.
7. Violations
Depending on the severity and frequency of the violations, Odorare may remove content, temporarily or permanently suspend access to the Circle, and delete the contributions of an account. Any decision can be contested from the contact page.
8. Changes to the charter
This charter may be modified. Each version is dated; in the event of a change, you will be asked to accept the new version before your next participation.
The Odorare Circle is published by ODR COSMETICS SARL, Villepinte (93), which operates the website odorare.fr. Full legal notices are available at the bottom of the page.
