Refund policy

This translation is provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version shall prevail.

Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give reasons for your decision or pay any penalties.

If your order comprises several products delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last product. Where the period expires on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday, it is extended until the next working day.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

Inform us of your decision by means of an unequivocal statement, before the period expires:

You may use the model form reproduced at the bottom of this page, but you are not obliged to do so.

Returning the products

Before sending anything back, please notify us by email at contact@odorare.fr: we will send you the procedure to follow.

You must return the product no later than fourteen (14) days after informing us of your decision, to the address given above. The direct costs of returning the product are borne by you.

The product must be returned complete and in a condition that allows it to be resold. You are liable only for any diminished value resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

Refund

We will refund all sums paid, including the standard outbound delivery costs, no later than fourteen (14) days from the date on which we are informed of your decision.

If you chose a delivery method more expensive than the standard delivery we offer, only the amount corresponding to standard delivery will be refunded.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the product back or until you have supplied proof of having sent it, whichever is the earlier.

The refund is made using the same means of payment as that used for the order, unless you expressly agree to another means, and does not incur any fees for you.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

products unsealed by you after delivery which cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection;
products made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
products liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

A perfume whose original film wrapping has been removed and whose bottle has been used falls within the first case. A product that has merely been opened for inspection, without being unsealed, remains eligible for withdrawal.

Gift cards are neither taken back nor refunded.

Damaged or non-conforming products

Check your order as soon as you receive it. If a product is defective, damaged or non-conforming, contact us at contact@odorare.fr: the return costs will then be borne by us and the refund or exchange will take place at no cost to you.

These provisions are independent of the right of withdrawal and of the legal guarantees, which also apply.

Legal guarantees

You benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), at no additional cost.

Consumer mediation

In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code concerning “the consumer dispute mediation process”, after contacting us and failing a satisfactory response, you may have recourse, free of charge, to a consumer mediation procedure with:
